Jailbreak iPod Touch 3G, iPhone 3GS iOS 4 With Sn0wbreeze 1.7
Since iOS 4 was released, users who were using iOS4 on iPod Touch 3G and iPhone 3GS weren’t able to jailbreak their devices when they were running the new bootrom. However, thanks to iH8sn0w, there is now a jailbreak available for iPod Touch 3G running iOS 4 on new bootroom and iPhone 3Gs running iOS 4 on new bootrom.
Sn0wbreeze 1.7 works on iPod Touch 2G (MC and non-MC models and iPod Touch 3G along with iPhone 3GS. In order to jailbreak iPhone 3GS you will require to be running iPhone OS 3.1.2 or have the SHSH blobs for iPhone OS 3.1.2.
The new sn0wbreeze jailbreak is a tethered one, which would mean that you will have to be connected to the laptop if the phone shuts down or the battery runs out and rerun the jailbreak again.
