Oprah praises iPad
As always around this time of year, Oprah showed off her favorite things and gave them away to her lucky audience members; sadly this is the last one, as it is her last season. However, guess who wound their way to her list? Yup, that’s right, the Apple iPad.
In fact, she had nothing but praise for this tablet. “Words cannot describe what I feel for this magnificent device. I really think it’s the best invention of the century so far,” Oprah said. She also went on to say that she has no idea how Apple is going to top this, but they have ninety years to do it.
She also said, “Thanks to my iPad, I now read about four newspapers a day.” She also uses it to keep a journal and watch movies, TV shows and the news. “I write my column for O magazine on the iPad way before the deadline because I love writing on it so much,” she says. She even plays scrabble, one of her favorite games, while working out on her treadmill, achieving a score of 304 against the computer. Very impressive Oprah.
Of course everyone in her audience received one of these beauties…just in time for iOS 4.2 I might add. What I would have done to be in that audience. For those of you out their lucky enough to own one, has the iPad made it to the top of your favorite things? Let me know in the comments below.
