Up to $350 off HD2 in exchange for iPhone with T-mobile

I don’t know about you, but I’d rather switch to a plain, simple, non-smartphone Nokia than swap my iPhone OS for Windows Mobile. I don’t care what updated version of software they come up with, and I don’t care how big the screen gets, I’ve had too much of a bad time with Microsoft’s mobile offerings to ever risk it again.
However, in attempt to persuade Big Blue’s customers to leave and join themselves, T-mobile are now offering a generous trade-in to anyone willing to take the plunge. At this present moment, the HD2 is probably the most talked about Windows cell phone. It’s impressive screen size, and camera quality to name but 2 of it’s highly optimistic features are pulling in the gadget lovers.
To take advantage of the offer, your iPhone needs to be working and undamaged, if your toy meets these criteria you’ll get between $100-$350. The rational deduction being; old iPhone $100, iPhone 3GS 32GB $350 (and the others in between). If we look beyond this as a sales scheme, and go past the obvious “T-mobile want AT&T’s customers”, what does this tell us? To me it looks as if T-mobile won’t be getting the iPhone at all. Why would they, only a few months before the upcoming Apple device’s release, offer the current users a chance to get rid of it? Am I reading to much in to this or am I right? You decide.
